General Information concerning study at University of Rostock

Germany has both public and private universities. The University of Rostock is a public institution, and as such, requires no tuition fee. For the cost of living in Rostock, however, one must be prepared to take into account at least 700 € per month. The International Office at University of Rostock can advise those interested in university study and assist in the application process. Requirements for university entry and offers of admission, however, are decided by committees outside of our offices, and according to strict regulations.

One may study either as guest student for one or two semesters at University of Rostock, or one may enroll full-time in one of the degree programmes, which usually lead to a bachelor's or master's.
