Subject area logistic and crisis management (D3.3.4)

The Subject Area Logistics and Crisis Management has the following working focuses:
1. Organisation of the entire postal traffic of the University of Rostock’s university field

Via the central post office, parcels, letters, registered letters, express deliveries and internal mail deliveries are implemented, as well as daily mail and courier services for all university sectors. Furthermore, the subject area Logistics and Crisis Management implements the university library’s transport tasks.

Note:
Franking and Transport for postal letters by the postal office taken place only for official letters. It´s unreliable sending private mail above official mail or sending private parcels to the business address.

2. Establishment of a crisis management organisation structure and lasting implementation of the crisis and emergency management.

The crisis and emergency management shall ensure a slick plot in cases of crisis to reduce limitations of the university’s operation procedures to a minimum and ensure the safety of university staff members. Possible crisis events are analyzed for this and related routine procedures are deviated. Aims are, among others, to elaborate a crisis management manual that is available for the heads of departments in case of crisis - particularly for their relevant field of responsibilities.
