Here are a few of the many ways to spend your free time at University of Rostock.
The LEI (Local Erasmus Initiative) is a group of Rostock students, most of whom have studied for a time outside of Germany, who want to help current international guest students in Rostock.
The Rostock International House, together with its many internal and external partners, administers the Tandem Programm. In addition to matching pairs of people for language tandems, the House organises a series of (inter-)cultural events over the course of the semester.
The Partnership Program brings participants of the Senior Academy and international students together in order to support students during their stay in Rostock as well as bring two different cultures into closer contact.
The University of Rostock offers a broad range of roughly 250 sports courses for students and staff of the university, for which guest students can also register. Most courses cost between 15 and 25 Euros per semester. Information about which courses are offered, course schedules, and prices can be found on the University Sports webpage.
The University of Rostock has several choirs and orchestras, as well as a cabaret. Schedules of events and further information about the possibility of participating can be found here.
The Student Association AStA also regularly organises events and workshops.
