As in the beginning of the year, the University Medical Center Rostock funds individual projects with a focus on HealthTechMedicine Neuroscience with up to €5.000 per project:

Call for Applications – Young Neuroscientist
The CTNR Young Neuroscientist supports two positions (max. 12 months, TV-L E13) of early career scientists with a neuroscientific focus and related to HealthTechMedicine. The positions can be split in part time positions depending on the incoming applications.

Else Hirschberg Research Funding
For female scientists and medical doctors at various career stages, funding will be provided to support one full year of their own position:
1. Female scientists returning to work after parental leave
2. Female medical doctors returning to work after parental leave
3. Habilitation funding for women after completing their doctorate
4. Support for women entering scientific-clinical careers

FORUN – Support for Young Scientists
The aim of the FORUN program is to promote competitive research projects and research structures in order to improve the conditions for attracting external third-party funding, particularly from the DFG. Young scientist* from the Faculty of Medicine are eligible to apply for 1 year of funding in 2026.
