Rostocker Projekte im EU-DOCS-Programm: Jetzt PhD-Kandidat*innen gesucht

Zwei Forschungsprojekte der Universität Rostock wurden im europäischen Promotionsprogramm „EU-DOCS for SmUCS“ (MSCA COFUND – Horizon Europe) ausgewählt – nun werden geeignete Doktorand*innen gesucht. Die Themen liegen im Bereich Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability und sind 36 Monate voll finanziert.

Professor*innen und Arbeitsgruppenleiter*innen der Universität Rostock haben gemeinsam mit Kolleg:innen der Université de La Rochelle die Projekte entwickelt. Die Promotionen führen zu einem Doppelabschluss (Double Degree) und beinhalten Forschungsaufenthalte an beiden Standorten sowie einen dreimonatigen Aufenthalt bei einem nicht-akademischen Partner.


Die beiden geförderten Rostocker Projekte sind:

  • Thesis topic 3: 
    Mechanisms of wild seal movements – a computational approach (SealMove), 
    Prof. Dr. Frederike Hanke, Institut für Biowissenschaften
     
  • Thesis topic 4: 
    Public Water Management in Coastal Areas, 
    Prof. Dr. Peter Lorson, Institut für Betriebswirtschaftslehre


Insgesamt werden zwölf voll finanzierte Cotutelle-PhD-Stellen vergeben. Die Promotionen bieten eine attraktive Förderung mit Gehalt, Mobilitäts- und Forschungskostenpauschalen sowie eine interdisziplinäre, internationale Ausbildung.

  • Thesis topic 6 : Study of the mechanical behavior and stability of partially saturated heterogeneous soils on the seafront – Partner university : University of Calgary (Canada)
     
  • Thesis topic 7 : Knowledge-Driven Generative AI for Precise Reconstruction of Coastal Historical Buildings via Digital Twin Modelling
