In Anlehnung an die Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW) in den USA und Großbritannien lädt das Koordinationsteam der PAW Germany jährlich Forscher*innen und Forschungseinrichtungen, PostDoc-Koordinatoren und Forschungsadministratoren in ganz Deutschland ein, ein gemeinsames Programm für PostDocs zu gestalten, um die maßgebliche Arbeit von PostDocs zu würdigen!
In diesem Jahr feiert die PAW Germany vom 21.-25. September 2026 ihr fünfjähriges Jubiläum. Mit über 100 Veranstaltungen von mehr als 60 Institutionen wird ein reichhaltiges Programm geboten: von Vorträgen zur Karriereentwicklung und interaktiven Workshops bis hin zu Networking-Treffen und von Gleichgesinnten geleiteten Diskussionen bietet das Programm für jeden etwas – alles auf Deutsch oder Englisch, online oder vor Ort.
Die Universität Rostock beteiligt sich mit den beiden Online-Veranstaltungen »Das erste Jahr Professorin - Zwischen Lehre, Unabhängigkeit und Priorisierungen im Arbeitsalltag« (21.09., 15:00-17:00 Uhr) und »Professionelle Kommunikation für Postdocs: Klar kommunizieren, schwierige Gespräche meistern und Zusammenarbeit stärken« (23.09., 9:00-16:30 Uhr).

Following the example of Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW) in the US and the UK, the PAW Germany coordination team invites researchers and research institutions, postdoc coordinators, and research administrators throughout Germany to organize a joint program for postdocs to recognize their important work!
This year, PAW Germany will celebrate its fifth anniversary from 21 to 25 September 2026. With over 100 events from more than 60 institutions, a rich program is on offer: from lectures on career development and interactive workshops to networking meetings and peer-led discussions, the program has something for everyone – all in German or English, online or in person.
