Innovation Contest 2025 – Pitch and win up to 4.000€!

Join the EUCONEXUS Innovation Contest 2025! Take your chance and take the floor to pitch on the “big screen” for a change to win up to 4.000 Euros! Present your idea in front of an international jury. Gain helpful insights on starting a business and compete for prize money to push your idea forward. The contest is open to PhD students, researchers, staff and Master students of the EU-CONEXUS universities. Enter with your multinational (!) team in one of two categories: Students or Researchers. Register your interest by 15 April.

Apply for EU-CONEXUS Seed Funding! Up to €4,400 available per project.

The Seed Funding aims to strengthen collaboration among EU-CONEXUS partners in education, research, and innovation on Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (SmUCS) challenges. It supports small-scale collaborative projects with funding available for research and academic teams from partner universities. Projects can focus on activities across education, research and innovation. Submit your application now! The first cut-off date is on 25 April 2025.

The 2025 Call for Research Mobilities of EU-CONEXUS, the European University for Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability, is now online! Apply to secure your funding for future mobilities or conferences. Webinar „MSCA staff exchanges call – Horizon Europe“

Join us for a webinar presenting the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges Call under Horizon Europe. This staff exchange programme is designed to strengthen international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral collaboration through staff mobility and knowledge exchange. The call can be seen as a first step to start collaborating within a consortium with the aim of applying to a Horizon Europe Cluster call together in the following years.

PH.D. COURSE: Introduction to bioinformatics and AI pipelines, May-June – Apply by 20 April

The "Introduction to Bioinformatics and AI Pipelines" course will provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in bioinformatics, focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in analyzing biological data. The course will cover essential concepts in genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics, along with data preprocessing, feature selection, and machine learning techniques for biological data analysis. Students will learn to develop AI pipelines for tasks such as predicting disease-related biomarkers and modeling complex biological systems. Emphasis will be placed on hands-on experience using bioinformatics tools, programming, and AI frameworks to solve real-world problems in life sciences.

PH.D. COURSE: Strategic Data Management: DAMA-DMBOK Principles for Doctoral Research, May-June 2025 – Apply by 20 April

This course delves into the fundamentals of data management based on the DAMA-DMBOK framework, tailored to the needs of doctoral research. Key topics include data governance, data quality, modeling, integration, and security, with a practical and strategic focus. Students will learn to structure, manage, and utilise data effectively to enhance the quality and impact of their research projects. Through hands-on exercises and case studies, they will develop critical skills to address challenges in data handling within academic and professional contexts.
