Doctoral Candidates at the University of Rostock

If you are a member of the Graduate Academy, your course fees may be covered upon prior request.*

This 3-part workshop helps PhD candidates improve their academic writing step by step. Participants will learn how to develop clear, coherent arguments and express complex ideas with confidence and precision. Through interactive exercises and hands-on practice, you'll work on paragraph and sentence structure, academic vocabulary, and register. You'll get the chance to apply what you've learned by writing a section of your own research text. Additionally, the workshop provides each participant with the opportunity to receive detailed, individualized feedback from the instructor. To gain the greatest benefit from the workshop, participants are expected to engage with self-study materials between sessions. 

Master's students are also welcome to participate in the course, but priority is given to doctoral candidates.

* This workshop is delivered in cooperation with the Graduate Academy. If you are a member of the Graduate Academy, you do not need to pay the course fees immediately. Instead, please send an email to grada(at)uni-rostock.de and request that the course fees be covered.
