Description:
This hands-on workshop offers an accessible introduction to fundamental principles of effective teaching and learning in higher education. Participants will explore how learning processes can be designed with structure and learner engagement in mind. A special focus will be placed on the role of generative AI (e.g. ChatGPT) and how it can be used to support learning.
Learning Outcomes:
- Participants will be able to describe key principles of effective higher education teaching (e.g. constructive alignment, cognitive load theory).
- Participants will be able to design basic teaching scenarios based on established didactic principles.
- Participants will understand the basic capabilities and limitations of generative AI in educational contexts.
