Lern- und Qualifikationsziele / Learning and qualification targets
Die Studierenden erwerben vertiefte Kenntnisse der dynamischen Modellierung ökonomischer Zusammenhänge, insbesondere in den Bereichen der Differential- und Differenzengleichungen, der Stabilitätsanalyse, der dynamischen Optimierung sowie der Differentialspiele. Dabei erweitern sie ihre Fähigkeiten wissenschaftlicher Argumentation sowie der Beurteilung adäquater Modellbildung.
Students will acquire in-depth knowledge of the dynamic modeling of economic relationships, especially in the areas of differential and difference equations, stability analysis, dynamic optimization, and differential games. In doing so, they will expand their skills of scientific arguing as well as the assessment of adequate model building.
Lehrinhalte / Course content
In den Vorlesungen werden gängige Methoden der Modellierung dynamischer ökonomischer Zusammenhänge sowie Lösungstechniken für diese Modelle besprochen. Theoretisches Grundlagenwissen wird ergänzt durch Anwendungsbeispiele aus verschiedenen Bereichen der Volkswirtschaftslehre, anhand derer die Modellierungs- und Lösungstechniken illustriert und geübt werden.
The lectures will discuss widely-used methods of modeling dynamic economic relationships as well as solution techniques for these models. Theoretical knowledge is complemented by applications from different areas of economics, which are used to illustrate and practice the modeling and solution techniques.
