"Quantum information processing with quantum light"

Abstract: Processing information using quantum physics is believed to offer advantages in computing, sensing, and secure communication. Quantum states of light proved to be useful in demonstrating these applications of quantum information processing. In this talk, I will give you an overview of these applications and how quantum optics is utilized to in such demonstrations. This covers examples from quantum communication, quantum metrology, and generation of non-classical states for quantum computation. In the end, I will discuss the effect of loss on non-classical states of light and its significance.
